The Staff and I welcome you back to Thorold and to the 2019-2020 training year. We are excited to see each of you and look forward to an exciting training program, which will begin 9 September 2019 at 1830hrs.

I wish to highlight a few items here, so that each of you is prepared for the first few weeks of training:

• 9 – First Night Back – Bring a Friend!
• 12 – Ground School Begins
• 15 – Gliding Date
• 27-29 – Tagging Dates
• 30 – Open House / Recruiting

October

• 4-6 – Autumn FTX
• 9 – CO’s Parade
• 14 – Thanksgiving Stand Down
• 15 – Return to Training
• 27 – Begin Wearing Poppy

Cadets, we are privileged to work with you and to assist you in achieving your goals and potential. To do so we wish to have your thoughtful input. If you have an idea for a training event or an idea to improve our squadron, please bring it forward. This program is for you – and while we have established orders and training objectives we must follow, there is always something more we can do to improve your experience; so, don’t be shy… be creative and share your ideas!

The Staff extends heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Yarnell, Chair, and the Sponsoring Committee for the work they do, often behind the scenes, that ensures the Squadron’s success. Let each member of 128 Flying Dragons show our appreciation to them by applying our best self to each of our roles and endeavours.
